We are now looking for a summer trainee to join our Production Planning team in the UPM Adhesive Materials business in Tampere. In this role you will have the opportunity to plan coating of our laminates and take charge of material flow, within factory as well as throughout Europe.

Greetings from your future team

In our Supply Chain team, you will get to experience an interesting and important area of work. You will be involved in planning and organizing the production schedule together with the production team. You will closely collaborate with Purchasing team, in order to have all raw materials secured for your plans.

What you will do

  • You will optimize and prioritize lamination planning together with production, based on customer orders, laminate stock levels, and replenishment needs
  • You will analyze inventory turnover to prevent stockouts and minimize the amount of aging material
  • You will learn how to anticipate market behavior and assure safe product stocks beforehand
  • You will collaborate with Product Development and take part in new products introduction
  • Your responsibilities will include creating production orders, preparing stock and loading reports, and maintaining ERP systems

Who you are

You are currently studying for a relevant degree (university of applied sciences or university). You enjoy working in a team and communicate effectively with others. You have a development-oriented mindset and can prioritize and deliver results under pressure. In addition to Finnish, you are fluent in English (both written and spoken).
