We are now looking for a summer trainee for our UPM's IPR Team in Lappeenranta.

UPM's IPR Team manages the IPR rights of the entire UPM Group globally. IPR is an abbreviation for Intellectual Property Rights. These rights include e.g. patents, trademarks and domain names. Specialist team in Lappeenranta participates in the IPR team's work by taking care of e.g. documentation management and database maintenance. Our team has a good team spirit and working with us is meaningful and rewarding. Your workplace is located in UPM's Northern Europe Research Center in the Kaukas area of Lappeenranta.

What you will do

• Assist in tasks related to the patenting process
• Evaluate and process incoming e-mails and documents
• Handle invoices
• Update IPR related presentations
• Archive documents
• Update the content of the IPR team's database
• Possibly create interactive training material on IPR topics

Who you are

We are looking for, for example, a student whose studies have a connection point to IPR and the tasks listed above. We value a positive and energetic attitude, initiative, accuracy and a sense of responsibility. In our work environment, you need excellent (both oral and written) English language skills. Other language skills are considered to your advantage.
