What purposes do we collect data for?
We collect your information to provide an online service for summer job placements (Kesätyö.fi).
- We collect information about summer jobs and summer job providers.
- We offer summer job applicants the opportunity to create an account on the service.
- Summer job applicants can also use the service without registering. In this case, no data is collected.
- The Children and Youth Foundation's Kesätyö.fi team supports workplaces in offering summer jobs. In some cases, we may share the summer job applicant's information (name, contact details) with their consent to the workplaces to which the applicant has applied for a summer job.
- We communicate with business partners via email and newsletters.
- We collect data for statistical purposes.
Alma Career Oy processes the Children and Youth Foundation's personal data in accordance with the data processing agreement as the data processor. Notwithstanding the above, Alma has the right to use the information of summer job providers for its own marketing and communication purposes as the data controller. Summer job applicants: Contact details collected during profile creation (name, date of birth, hometown, gender, email, phone number)
Where do we collect data from?
All data comes from the users themselves through registration or contact with the Kesätyö.fi service.
Data Disclosure
The information of summer job applicants is not disclosed outside the EU and EEA. Generally, partner information is not disclosed outside the EU and EEA.
Data Storage
We retain summer job providers’ contact details for three years following their last reported summer job.
We retain summer job applicants’ information for 4 years from the creation of the account.
We strive to keep the personal data in our possession accurate and up-to-date by removing unnecessary data and updating outdated information. Users can also influence the data retention period by requesting the deletion of their information.
Principles of Register Protection
We protect personal data carefully by using appropriate technical security measures. Databases where the register data is stored are protected by firewalls, passwords, and other technical means.
